Garve and District Community Council

We serve Garve, Strathgarve, Little Garve, Silverbridge, Inchbae, Garbat, Blackwater and Aultguish along the A835 and Gorstan, Corriemoillie, Lochluichart, Mossford, Grudie, Achanalt and Achnasheen along the A832. 

Crofts, rural homes and businesses across the glens and hillsides, our large and diverse area ccovers 611 square kms. of exceptional natural beauty and cultural heritage. Shaped by its landscape, sustained by its people.

Garve and District has one of the lowest population densities per square kilometre on the continent of Europe. Data from the 2022 Census estimated our population to be around 299 residents.

As a Community Council, we are a voluntary team of local residents working on behalf of our area. Helping to bridge the gap between the local authority and our community. We raise awareness of the views and needs of the people we represent, and we advise, influence, and advocate on a wide range of issues and concerns affecting our local area.

Our logo was collaboratively designed in 2024 by all the children of Strathgarve Primary School and digitised by, their teacher, Mrs Lilley.
